They may blend in with the surroundings or easily get into the blind spots of drivers. To avoid accidents, you should try to find ways to make yourself and your motorcycle more visible.

The Department of Motor Vehicles suggests that you should make sure to follow all road rules. This includes observing speed limits and obeying right of way rules. You should try to ensure drivers see you by avoiding blind spots and not riding directly beside a vehicle for too long. Also, always use your turning signals and flash your breaks before you come to a complete stop.

What you wear is also important. Choose clothing that has reflective material. Wear bright colors or add bright colors to your outfit. Make yourself stand out visually so drivers can see you more easily and be less likely to ignore or overlook you.

Finally, always ride with your headlight on. This is even a good idea if it is a bright and sunny day. Your headlight is easier to see from longer distances and will make a difference even if the sun is out.
