Maho & Prentice has awarded Isabela Contreras the 2022 Maho Prentice Scholarship Award of $5,000. Ms. Contreras plans to attend the University of Pennsylvania and study Biology on the Pre-Med track.  Maho Prentice received a record number of applicants this year, and Ms. Contreras was selected out of an impressive,  highly dedicated, and incredibly brilliant group of local students.

While maintaining a strong academic GPA, Ms. Contreras was Co-Founder of Contreras Ranch Avocados, Co-Founder of Students=Future Junior High Tutoring, and a UCSB Summer Research Academies Scholarship Recipient.  In her essay, Ms. Contreras, a first-generation student, described how she has experienced the best of both worlds, by taking advantage of the educational opportunities in the U.S. and staying close to her family roots in Mexico.

Tyrone Maho and Chad Prentice are well respected personal injury lawyers in Santa Barbara, California who are deeply involved in the community. They are honored to name Ms. Contreras this year’s recipient and wish her success in her aspirations to become a pediatrician.  Maho Prentice is grateful to all the amazing candidates that took the time to apply.
